David Sadkin, Ph.D., Director of Education Services

David Sadkin, Ph.D.Volunteer Director of Education Services for Wildlife, Inc.
In that capacity, he provides programs on wildlife education and habitat management for a wide variety of private and public schools and organizations. He helps staff the education booth that Wildlife, Inc. deploys at numerous arts and crafts shows throughout Manatee and Sarasota Counties throughout the “season.” He also is principal writer for the Center’s website (www.wildlifeinc.org), and has written many articles for The Florida Wildlife Rehabilitators Association Newsletter.

Dr. Sadkin is a member of the Board of Directors of PLATO (Professional Learning and Theater Organization) and serves as its Director of Adult Education and Outreach; and is on the the Board of Directors, and is Program Chair of ALL (Arts Lovers League), PLATO’s guild.  Both 501(c)3 organizations are located at the Golden Apple Theater.

Prior to retirement, David had over twenty years of training and consulting experience, specializing in human resource development and organizational and professional communication. His clients included Fisher-Price Toys, Mattel, Inc., The Quaker Oats Company, Welch’s Foods, The Carborundum Company, The New York State Power Authority, Florida Power, and many other Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 companies.

Over a twenty-five year academic career, Dr. Sadkin was professor and chair of the Department of English, and a member of the graduate faculty of the College of Business at Niagara University, in New York State.

Dr. Sadkin holds B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Kansas State University, and a Certificate of Professional and Technical Communication from Rice University.
